Institute welcomes Scott Hall to Board of Directors

The Park Institute's staff, Advisors, and Directors are very excited to welcome William "Scott" Hall as the organization's newest Board member. Scott comes to the Institute with over three decades of federal service primarily focused on collaborative protected area management and conservation efforts.

The Institute's team is thrilled to have someone of Scott's skill and expertise to help expand and refine its partnered programming. Between his Peace Corps service in Ecuador; his championship of regional partners at the National Park Service (NPS) Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program; and his two decades managing international programs for NPS, US Geological Survey, and Department of Interior, Scott's professional and personal experiences are perfectly aligned with the Institute's mission and values.

Scott has supported the Institute from its inception in 2016, including its work to reimagine an NPS-administered seminar for international protected area managers. And as member of the school's inaugural Master of Environmental Management graduate cohort, Scott has well-established ties to Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment and looks forward to forging an even closer partnership between the school and the Institute.

Welcome to the team, Scott!
